I've been using the XFMG addon for quite some time, and while it’s a powerful tool, I’ve noticed it tends to be overlooked on the forum. One reason is that it doesn’t integrate directly with threads, which limits its visibility and user engagement.
I’m wondering if you’ve considered developing a system where videos and images can be posted as native Thread Types. This would allow media content to be treated with the same prominence and interaction potential as standard threads, making it easier for users to discover, comment on, and share visual content.
I haven’t developed a full concept yet, but I imagine the logic could be similar to your Movie and Music addons, which—if I’m not mistaken—essentially function as thread types themselves. Applying that same structure to media would make content more dynamic and better integrated into the forum experience.
This kind of enhancement could significantly boost engagement and give creators a more intuitive way to share visual content.
