Enhance content watching with watcher statistics, privacy controls, and engagement tools.

This add-on expands XenForo content watching features by displaying watcher information, recording watch start dates, and adding moderation and integration tools.

Features:

Watchers Count: Display how many users are watching specific content for everyone, permission-based viewers, or staff only, independently from watcher details access.
Public or Anonymous Watchers List: Show watchers publicly or anonymously based on privacy settings and permissions.
Watch Start Date Tracking: Record and display when a user started watching content.
AJAX Search for Watchers List: Quickly find specific users watching content using dynamic search.
Start Conversations with Watchers: Start conversations directly with users watching the content.
Notification Type Display: View which notification types users selected for watched content.
Watched Actions Display: Show selected watch actions and preferences.
Enhanced Unwatch Overlay: Review and update current watch settings inline before choosing whether to unwatch. The settings section is expanded by default and remembers each visitor's toggle preference.
Inline Watch Settings Menu: Update an existing watch from a native XenForo dropdown menu without reloading the content page.
Anonymous Watcher Support: Users with permission to view anonymous watchers can also include them in conversations.
Watchers Count Rebuild: Recalculate watcher counts using a rebuild tool. Automatically runs after installation.
REST API Support: Includes REST API endpoints for integrations and automation.
ACP Watch Management: Manage watchers for every supported content type, filter records, update notification and privacy settings, or delete records in batches.
ACP Watch Analytics: Review the current active-watch state, active watches started in a selected period, averages, content watcher distribution, notification methods, top content by watch and anonymous share, and the most active watchers.

FAQ:

What happens to existing content watches after installation or an upgrade?
Existing watch records are retained, and watcher counts are rebuilt automatically for available content types. Original watch start dates cannot be reconstructed for records created before date tracking was available, so those records do not receive an invented historical date.
Does the analytics dashboard include users who previously stopped watching content?
No. Analytics are calculated from the watch records that currently exist. They describe active watches within the selected date range and do not provide unsubscribe history.
Can administrators or moderators identify anonymous watchers?
Only users granted the dedicated permission to view anonymous content watchers can see their identities or include them in watcher conversations. Anonymous watchers remain hidden from other viewers.
