Question scores
Ordinary scored questions have a non-negative correct-answer score and a zero or negative wrong-answer score. Site options supply defaults for new questions; changing them does not rewrite saved question scores.
| Type | Evaluation |
|---|
| Single choice | The selected option must be one of the accepted choices |
| Multiple choice | Choice selection and penalty settings apply; exact matching requires all correct choices and no wrong ones |
| Short answer | Submitted text is compared with the accepted variants |
| Word builder | The complete assembled word is evaluated; there are no partial tile points |
| Ordering | The complete order must match |
| Ordering groups | Every expected answer must be in its correct group |
| Music | Single- or multiple-selection evaluation applies |
| Tournament item | A contender choice, rather than an ordinary right/wrong response |
Bonuses, penalties and unanswered questions
Supported choice questions can have bonus scores when enabled for the quiz type and site. Assessments use weighted choices to produce outcome scores without incorrect-answer handling.
Multiple-choice penalties can change the points awarded for selected wrong options.
Require all correct answers controls whether the complete correct set is required for correctness; it should not be confused with a universal partial-credit rule.
An unanswered question differs from an incorrect submitted response. Review the options for unanswered questions, question limits and correct-percentage calculations before publishing a formal test. Test omitted correct choices and extra wrong choices against the actual configuration.
Completion and aggregate score
An attempt's score is calculated from saved answers and stored on completion.
Include in score controls contribution to aggregate user score. Categories also control leaderboard participation. Music quizzes can apply difficulty multipliers when enabled; Custom difficulty uses a multiplier of 1.
Result percentage graphics are constrained to 0–100 for display. They do not imply that the underlying points cannot be negative or exceed a nominal range.
Example
For two Single choice questions scored +2 correct and -1 wrong, one correct and one wrong answer contributes 1 point before any other configured scoring adjustments. Add an unanswered question in a test attempt to confirm the site's skip policy.
