Extend XenForo's user ignore system with selective content filtering, temporary ignores, notification blocking, private notes, and advanced ignore management.
Give members greater control over unwanted interactions without requiring them to ignore everything from another user. Members can independently hide posts, threads, conversations, mentions, and notifications, set temporary ignore periods, and maintain private notes. Administrators can manage ignore relationships through a centralized ACP interface with filtering and bulk actions.
Features:
Selective User Ignoring
Selective Content Ignoring: Choose which types of content to hide from individual members instead of applying a complete user ignore.
Post & Thread Ignoring: Hide posts, threads, and related content from selected users.
Profile Content Ignoring: Hide profile posts and profile post comments from ignored members.
Conversation Ignoring: Ignore conversations and direct messages from specific users.
Mention Ignoring: Block mention notifications from selected members without hiding all their content.
Per-User Ignore Rules: Configure independent content and notification restrictions for every ignored user.
Content List Filtering: Apply supported ignore rules to thread lists, featured threads, search results, and new-content widgets.
Notification & Email Control
Alert Ignoring: Prevent selected members from generating unwanted XenForo alerts.
Push Notification Blocking: Suppress push notifications associated with ignored users.
Email Notification Filtering: Prevent unwanted email notifications from selected members.
Watched Content Notifications: Apply ignore rules to watched thread and forum notifications.
Independent Notification Rules: Control notification visibility separately from content ignoring.
Temporary Ignores & Personal Notes
Temporary User Ignoring: Ignore members for a limited period instead of permanently.
Preset Ignore Durations: Choose 1 day, 7 days, or 30 days.
Custom Expiration Dates: Set a specific date when an ignore rule should expire.
Permanent Ignores: Keep selected members ignored indefinitely.
Automatic Expiration: Stop applying expired ignore rules automatically and remove them through scheduled cleanup.
Private Ignore Notes: Add personal notes to ignored members for future reference.
Private Note Visibility: Keep notes accessible only to the member who created them.

Conflict Management: Help members manage disagreements without requiring moderators to intervene or impose account restrictions.
Notification Overload: Reduce distractions from repeated mentions, alerts, and watched-content notifications.
Temporary Boundaries: Let members take a break from specific users during heated discussions without creating permanent restrictions.

Administrative Oversight: Help staff review and manage ignore relationships when resolving community disputes.
FAQ:
What happens when a temporary ignore expires? The rule stops affecting content and notifications as soon as it expires. Scheduled cleanup then removes the expired record.
Who can see personal notes attached to ignored users? Personal notes are private and are shown only to the member who owns the ignore list.
Can an administrator create a mutual ignore? Yes. When adding an ignore relationship in the ACP, an administrator can create the corresponding reverse relationship at the same time.
