[XB] Content Voting by Guests 2.0.1

This add-on allows guests to vote on supported content types, helping you lower the entry barrier, increase engagement, and collect more feedback from casual visitors.

Features:​

Guest Voting​

• Enable guests to vote on supported content types.
• Each vote is linked to the voter’s IP address to ensure a single vote per content item.

Vote Abuse Prevention​

• Prevent registered users from voting again as guests by checking voter IP addresses.
• This protection can be disabled in options, but doing so is not recommended to avoid vote manipulation.

Note: This protection does not apply to votes created before installing the add-on, as IP addresses were not stored previously.

Vote Reassignment on Registration​

• Optionally reassign guest votes to a newly registered user upon signup.
• Disabled by default to give full control over this behavior.

Supported content types:​

• Threads and posts (including types such as questions, suggestions and voting competitions)
• XFRM: Resource reviews

Important Notes:​

This add-on does not modify or interfere with thread polls (built-in XenForo polls).

This add-on modifies XenForo’s core voting logic.
Compatibility with third-party add-ons that extend or rely on content voting cannot be guaranteed.
