Control XenForo reaction visibility, hide who reacted, and provide private or anonymous reactions without disabling the reaction system.

Hide Reactions provides granular, permission-based reaction privacy controls for XenForo. Hide reactor names and avatars, restrict access to reaction details, control reaction timestamps independently, display anonymous reaction lists, and choose how reaction summaries appear across supported content.

Users without the required permissions can still see configurable reaction counts, their own reaction, or anonymous reaction details without seeing the members behind them. This helps reduce popularity bias and bandwagon effects while keeping reactions useful in sensitive, private, or neutral discussions.

Counts by Reaction: Show an individual total for every reaction type without listing member names.
Compact Total: Combine reaction icons with a concise total for a cleaner reaction bar.

Counts by Reaction and Compact Total can also provide a cleaner community-wide reaction display where member privacy is not the primary goal.

Permissions and Defaults:

Full Reaction Access: Existing global and content-specific reaction visibility permissions continue to grant full access in their respective contexts.
Independent Visibility Permissions: Control summary names, reaction list access, reactor identities, timestamps, own-content access, and own-reaction visibility separately.
Anonymous List Access: Allow users to access reaction lists without permission to see reactor identities, resulting in anonymous reaction entries.
Own Content Access: Optionally give content authors full reaction visibility for their own content.
Own Reaction Visibility: Allow users to identify their own reaction even when other reactor identities are hidden.
Feature Switches: Enable or disable separate summary permissions, anonymous lists, timestamp permissions, own-reaction visibility, and own-content access independently.
