Accept cryptocurrency payments in XenForo through NOWPayments.

This add-on integrates NOWPayments with XenForo's payment provider system, allowing members to pay for purchases, user upgrades, and other supported transactions using a wide range of cryptocurrencies. It includes embedded checkout, live crypto estimates, minimum payment checks, configurable fees, and recurring payment support.

Supported Fiat Currencies:​

The following fiat currencies are supported for cryptocurrency rate conversion:

If a XenForo purchase uses a currency that cannot be converted through the configured NOWPayments integration, the payment cannot be created.

Setup:​

1. Create a NOWPayments account at https://nowpayments.com
2. Create a new NOWPayments payment profile in the XenForo Admin Control Panel
3. Enter your NOWPayments API key and IPN secret
4. Configure currencies, fees, minimum purchase settings, and other payment profile options
5. Enable the payment profile for the XenForo purchases or user upgrades where it should be available

Important:​

• Cryptocurrency Minimums: Individual cryptocurrencies can have minimum transaction amounts. Expensive networks or currencies such as BTC may have minimums higher than the price of a small purchase.
• Conversion Availability: Available rates, minimums, and conversion costs depend on the selected cryptocurrency and the payout configuration of your NOWPayments account.
• Recurring Checkout: Embedded checkout is not available for recurring payments. NOWPayments instead sends the customer an email containing a payment link.

FAQ:​

• Which cryptocurrencies can members use?
  Available cryptocurrencies depend on those currently supported and available through your NOWPayments account.
• Why do I get a "try again later" error for some cryptocurrencies?
  Check that the purchase amount meets the minimum transaction amount for the selected cryptocurrency and that the currency is currently available through NOWPayments. Minimums can vary and may be higher than the value of smaller purchases.
• Why is the cryptocurrency payment amount higher than the product price?
  This can be caused by network, transaction, or conversion costs associated with the payout wallet and currency route available to your NOWPayments account. Configuring alternative payout wallets or a Custody wallet may reduce these costs.
• Can products be priced in fiat currency?
  Yes. Supported fiat prices can be converted into the cryptocurrency selected by the customer.
• Does NOWPayments support recurring XenForo payments?
  Yes, but recurring payments do not use the embedded checkout form. NOWPayments sends an email containing a payment link instead.
• Can the payment form be displayed directly on my XenForo site?
  Yes. Embedded checkout is available for supported non-recurring payments.
• What happens when the selected cryptocurrency has a minimum higher than the purchase price?
  The add-on can detect and warn about the minimum payment requirement before checkout.
