FAQ:​

• Is TheAudioDB required to use the add-on?
  • No. Albums, artists, tracks, and music lists can be managed locally without TheAudioDB. An API key is required only for automatic metadata import and refresh. The free v1 test key (123) returns limited album track data, so a premium key is recommended for complete imports
• Can I import multiple albums at once?
  • Yes. The ACP bulk importer accepts TheAudioDB album IDs, previews matching releases, excludes albums already stored locally, and processes selected imports through a background job. Artist discographies can also be previewed and imported in bulk
• Can imported information be edited manually?
  • Yes. Authorized users can edit album and track details, descriptions, artwork, attachments, tags, custom fields, release information, related albums, and other stored metadata after import
• Will existing music remain available if a provider is unavailable?
  • Yes. Imported and manually created records remain stored locally. Provider access is needed only when importing, refreshing, matching, or resolving remote content such as Jamendo streams and Deezer previews
• Where does playable audio come from?
  • A track can use one locally attached audio file, a matched licensed Jamendo stream, or a Deezer preview resolved from its ISRC. Jamendo requires a client ID, while Deezer preview resolution does not require separate credentials. Availability of remote audio can vary by track and region
• Which audio files can members upload?
  • The add-on supports MP3, OGG, WAV, and FLAC when those formats are enabled by the administrator. Uploads must also satisfy the configured file-size and duration limits, XenForo attachment limits, PHP limits, and web-server limits
• Can members create their own music lists and collections?
  • Yes. With the required permissions, members can create categorized album, track, or artist lists, choose their privacy, reorder entries, and add descriptions and tags. They can also maintain favorites, listened items, wishlists, and owned collections
• How do I control what visitors can view or submit?
  • Use the global album and music-list permissions together with category-specific permissions. These controls determine who can view, submit, edit, rate, comment on, upload to, and moderate content. Restricted, moderated, deleted, and private content may require additional permissions

Requirements:​

• XenForo 2.3.0+
• TheAudioDB API key for automatic metadata import and refresh. The free v1 test key (123) is development-only and returns only one track for album track lookups; the add-on completes limited tracklists with MusicBrainz data. Use a premium key for full TheAudioDB results.
• Optional Jamendo client ID for remote licensed audio streaming. Jamendo audio is not downloaded or cached locally by the add-on.
• Deezer previews require no API key and are resolved from the track ISRC when playback starts.
